- Gentle Fund Organization (GFO) was officially registered with Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs on August 02, 2006.
- GFO is a non-political, non-religious, and does not discriminate any race, nationality, gender, age or occupation.
- Almost all of the management team members are young volunteers who are living and working in Singapore and Vietnam. Many members are working in the fields of Business Administration, Information Technology or Entertainment, whereas most of the rest are still schooling.
- Currently our members are working for free.
- Our main objective is to support disadvantaged children in Vietnam, and at the same time help Vietnamese patients in Singapore.
Up to December 31, 2006, which was just 5 months after registration, GFO had::
- Officially sponsored 20 financially difficult children who are having excellent academic results at SGD400 per month
- Officially bridged 30 other children to 30 schorlarships of SGD20 per month
- Supported 25 family victims of the Xansane storm with the total amount of SGD5,000
- Officially sponsored and provided free services for 40 Vietnamese patients in Singapore, helping them to save an estimated SGD48,000
- Acted as a bridge to transfer SGD 5,000 from 53 philanthrophists to Vietnamese children patients in Singapore
- Had 429 members, compared to an original number of 17 members
- Had registered members in 12 countries
- Had co-operated with 5 hospitals in Singapore
- Had co-operated with 9 orphanages in Vietnam
- Finished the album "Gentle Drive" (100% profits of which to be used for charity purpose)
- Participated in 2 concerts on Singapore
- We always need more and more volunteers to help out disadvantaged children.
