Little Hung had finished the treatment successfully, and allowed to continue the next phase of treatment, which would last for 2 years, in Vietnam. However, due to the harsh environment in Vietnam, together with the need to go to hospital regularly for checkups, he encountered fever and coughs during the second week after the return. With extra care, the fever quickly disappeared. Unfortunately, after one week, the levels of various elements in his blood reduced drastically compared to the time right after his arrival. His parents were very worried, and asked GFO members to contact the doctors in NUH who had treated Little Hung. As advised by the doctors, they decided to bring him back to Singapore for bone marrow checks.
