Our first destination in Central of Vietnam is Da Nang City. During our stay for two days, GFO had visited Center of Homeless Children in Da Nang City and we had the chance to observe daily activities of the children there. On another hand, we had also given gifts for the children. Fortunately, the pupils and students of Social Activity Department of Le Quy Don School had come in at the right time, without their helps, three representatives of GFO would not be able to learn about the existence of one very special place. A school of orphans, a second home for children whose lives are depended pretty much on the tiny amount of money that they earned daily from digging up garbage. With the help of the principal of the school, we had talked to them, we had come to their houses and we had witnessed how much damage the Xangsane storm caused on these innocent children. Based on the information that we had collected, three representatives of GFO had thoroughly discussed the matter and decided to present a sponsorship under the form of a scholarship to three children. They are: Nguyen Van Quynh, Le Trinh Hoang Anh and Phan Thi My Ha.

Children are the future. Children ignite the flame that brings warmth and happiness to the world. Like anyone else, students of DHM April 05 Class B of SHATEC (Singapore Hotel and Tourism Institution Center of Singapore) had always felt the affection and hoped to brighten up faces of underprivileged children. A conventional event was given to them as part of their curriculum.
GFO will be having our two representatives Dang Thi Thu Ha and Bui Phuong Tam visit Da Nang City and Hue City, two of the most prominent locations in Central Vietnam, during the time from 18 to 23/10/2006. Following our expediation trip to Southern Vietnam a month ago, this will be our second attempt to find and establish both long-term and short-term support with local orphanages in Vietnam.

As we are nearing the completion of our first charity music CD project, GFO has received a generous donation from Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Dac Phuoc, managing directors of Dac Nguyen Company in Ho Chi Minh City. The company has agreed to cover all publishing costs for the CD, which is to be out by the end of October. We would like to express our deeply sincere gratitude to the company, and hope to receive more support from all.
