(2/10/2006) Update on Mr. Tuyen

After the first chemical transmission period (on 18 Sep), Mr Tuyen's body has reacted as expected by the doctors. The test result on 26 Sep has shown that his white blood cell level has decreased to the acceptable level. He will continue to go through this type of treatment for the while blood cell level to continue decreasing to the lowest acceptable level before being recovered to eliminate all cancer cells.

However, not only cancer cells but the other cells like platelets or red blood cells will also decrease in number. Thus he will feel tired and need intensive care and extreme hygene. To support him, the doctors has done blood transmission for him. His health has improved a lot and he can eat and sleep wmuch better.

In a few days to come, the blood components will gradually increase in number, yet his immune system is still weak, so hygene is very important. His mother has also known thoroughly how to give him medical shots during his night fevers. Last week, GFO has continued to sent volunteers to the hospitals to help him communicate with the doctors. Next week, he will be admitted to check the blood components. GFO will continue to support him any possible time.
