(26/10/2006) Update on little Hue

After the operation to remove the tumor, Little Hue lost 1.5 kgs, and looked very pitiful. The subsequent test showed that her tumor was lethal, so her family was even more worried about whether the tumor has spread to other organs. Fortunately, both blood test and marrow test showed no sign of that at all.

The fact that the tumor has not spread to any other organ, and has been completely removed is very encouraging. However, after various tests, doctors in NUH decided to give her from 8 to 10 chemotherapy sessions so as to minimize the possibility that the tumor would return. Each session would last for around 3 weeks, so the whole treatment would last around 8 months. During the first three sessions, her health would need to be closely monitored, so she would have to stay back in Singapore. After that, she would be able to go back to Vietnam and undergo the sessions there.
